How do you get across the river???

If i give you a paper mario model could you possibly animate it

How do you make the paper characters?

I like the mix of 2D and 3D, but the game needs instructions. Not sure how to get across the water.

I know im asking for too much but if you can make a quick vid tutorial that would be awesome, either way this is coming out nicely
